Deep flutes like the Low C sound beautiful, but they have a much larger body and large, widely-spaced finger holes, so they're tricky to play unless you have quite large hands. A player with medium-sized hands typically finds the lowest comfortably playable key is around F#. If you have smaller or medium hands, we'd suggest a higher-pitched flute such as an F Minor Rosewood flute.
